In a major step to strengthen its position in the North American manufacturing marketplace and establish a foundation for continued growth and success, CGI Manufacturing Holdings is relaunching as Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions.
Under the unified platform, Cadrex and its business units will continue to deliver unmatched value-added Industry 4.0 solutions for mission-critical manufacturing, supported by more than one million square feet of manufacturing capacity, strategically located around the United States, as well as in Monterrey, Mexico.
Following the acquisition of eight business units, Cadrex’s range of offerings include laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication, complex assembly, CNC machining, robotic welding, stamping, and fastener insertion, plastic injection molding, and more.
“The current economic environment and advancements in technology, particularly around manufacturing, have driven continued growth, brought new clients, new teammates and new opportunities, so this is an important milestone for the business,” said Carey Chen, CEO of Cadrex. “The unified platform and new brand are critical steps in positioning Cadrex as the premier North American partner for medium-to-high volume manufacturing solutions and we’re excited at what the future holds.”
The company’s new name is derived from the word “cadre,” and represents the idea of a team of craftsmen who bring the “X-factor” to complex situations. Cadrex serves a number of industries including aerospace and defense, information communication technology, energy transmission and distribution, agriculture, medical, material handling, and electronic gaming and kiosk.
“While we will continue to identify opportunities for increased operational efficiencies under the unified Cadrex platform, we’re fully committed to a seamless experience for our customers while minimizing any potential disruption,” added Chen. “The unified platform immediately provides innovation, additional resources and increased capacity to support all of our business units in a variety of new ways.”
Brands under the Cadrex umbrella include Advanced Laser, CGI Automated Manufacturing, DFF Corporation, Elite Manufacturing Technologies, Haven Manufacturing, Precision Metal Fab, Richlind Metal Fabricators and Tenere.
