Women of the Fastener Industry (WIFI) — which provides opportunities for women at all levels of experience in the fastener industry to connect, network, and learn — recently announced the Edith Cameron Scholarship winner as part of the International Fastener Expo (IFE) 2023.
This year’s IFE scholarship winner is Kala Milburg of Marine Fasteners, a supplier of stainless steel and non-ferrous fasteners in U.S. and metric threads.
The scholarship honors the memory of Edith Cameron, a pioneer in the fastener industry for 55 years, by providing a WIFI member with the opportunity to attend IFE. This year, travel, accommodations, and entrance to the show will be provided to winner, Kala Milburg.
“I’m beyond thankful and excited to be chosen to attend the International Fastener Expo this year with the Women in the Fastener Industry Group,” she said. “It is a privilege to represent such an amazing group of women, while also getting to experience an Expo in a field I’m working to excel in. Thank you WIFI for this amazing opportunity, and for putting me one step closer to success.”
IFE is one of the largest industrial fasteners, tooling, machinery events in North America, set for October 9th to 11th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
