By Michelle Froese | January 13, 2021

Learn more about Stimpson 405 bench press in this video.

Designed for maximum productivity with a premium on quality, the Stimpson 405 bench press is capable of setting a variety of fasteners — including grommets, washers, eyelets, snap sets, and more.

Stimpson is a fastener manufacturer, with one of the largest varieties of standard and specialty eyelets, and some of the most advanced, high-speed automated equipment available.

Case-in-point: this all-purpose bench press, which was manufactured in the U.S. more than 100 years ago, and is built from a durable, cast-aluminum lightweight frame with a powder-coat finish.

Most popular for grommets and washers, the 405 bench press’s tools can be easily changed to set different component sizes, including for several types of fasteners. While its operation is manual, the quality of the work it produces equals that of large semi-automatic and automatic setting machinery.

Its versatility and simple operation make the machine useful in a variety of industries. It’s also portable and stable when mounted on the Stimpson baseplate.

The specifications for the 405 bench press include:

  • Frame material: Heavy-duty aluminum
  • Height: 12 inches
  • Weight: 10 lbs
  • Throat depth: 2-3/4 inches
  • Built-in stroke: 1-3/4 inches
  • Bench space: 5 x 9 inches
  • Industries: Industrial fabrics, commercial printing and signage, marine, and others
