Schreiner ProTech develops adhesive films for automotive displays

By Michelle Froese | June 18, 2021

Schreiner ProTech, a global manufacturer of functional labels for the automotive and engineering-based industries, has developed a line of protection films for vehicle displays. This adhesive film solutions protect vivid, often touchscreen displays against dirt, scratches and other damage throughout the supply-chain journey — from production to delivery to installation.

These new adhesive film solutions protect touchscreen displays against dirt, scratches, and other damage, making them ideal for use on vehicles.

Importantly, the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD) must be mitigated during the film’s non-residual removal. With this in mind, Schreiner Protech’s new protection films reduce the probability of electric flashovers when they are peeled off a display.

This significantly diminishes the potential for damage to electronic components and static electric shocks to personnel.

Schreiner ProTech’s display protection films are available in a wide variety of sizes, including an array of wider, taller films to cover increasingly large displays.

The films can be imprinted with processing information to facilitate manual application or fully automated application is possible. Layouts can be customized to suit individual needs and an integrated tab ensures easy film removal.

In addition to drastically reducing electrostatic charging and discharging, thereby helping to assure optimal performance of protected electronic components, Schreiner ProTech’s new display protection films also prevent potentially hazardous electric shocks and flammable substances from igniting during instances of spark formation.
