Packer Fastener announces new headquarters

By Michelle Froese | March 14, 2024

The new headquarters will serve Packer Fastener and its sister companies, Packer Freight and Albolt Manufacturing.

Threaded fasteners specialist, Packer Fastener, has moved its headquarters and central distribution center to a larger facility. The move is to a 100,000-plus-square-foot facility at 500 Pilgrim Way in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin.

The new location will serve Packer Fastener and its sister companies Packer Freight and Albolt Manufacturing, which together comprise the PFS family of brands.

The distributor of industrial nuts and bolts — including its iconic 10-foot tall, 3.5-ton hex nut,  once the world’s largest — said the relocation is due to unprecedented growth and the need for updated facilities and space that will enable it to better serve customers.

“This move is big for us and for our customers,” said Terry Albrecht, founder and CEO of PFS. “Outgrowing our Lombardi home is a reflection of our deep customer loyalty, and a move this big demonstrates our continued commitment to provide them with the best possible customer experience.”

PFS will complete the headquarters relocation on March 15, at which point the Lombardi location will briefly close before reopening on March 18 to welcome contractors and the public.

In addition to Green Bay, Packer Fastener has locations in nine other cities in the U.S. upper midwest, including seven in Wisconsin. The newest branch expansion occurred in August of last year in La Crosse, WI.

“We’re only able to grow as fast as our ability to recruit good people, and luckily, we’ve been very successful in both recruiting and growth,” Albrecht said in announcing the La Crosse opening.
