Milwaukee adds to its expansion tool lineup

By Michelle Froese | August 11, 2021

Milwaukee Tool‘s new M18 FUEL 2″ ProPEX Expander promises breakthroughs in productivity for ProPEX installs.

M18 FUEL 2″ ProPEX Expander with ONE-KEY offers one of the fastest, lightest, and most compact ways to install ProPEX. Learn more here.

In partnership with Uponor, which offers durable PEX products for plumbing, radiant heating, and cooling, Milwaukee is adding to its tool lineup — with one of the fastest, lightest, and most compact way to install 2” ProPEX.

A pipe-sized selector switch optimizes the expansion speed when expanding different sizes of ProPEX for up to three times faster 1-1/4″ to 2″ connections and the tool’s D-Handle design provides balance and control for one-handed operation.

The expander features an auto-rotating mechanism for fast, consistent expansions. It comes equipped with a new 2″ ProPEX Expander Head, designed exclusively for the M18 FUEL ProPEX Expander. The integrated cone design offers durable PEX products for plumbing, radiant heating, and cooling head delivers the lightest, most compact experience by reducing the travel length of the expander’s expansion cone, allowing for a compact expansion cycle.

Jobsite durability is provided by the tool’s all-metal gears and an integrated metal frame. The M18 FUEL 2″ ProPEX Expander is equipped with ONE-KEY, letting users wirelessly connect their expander with their smartphone to track and manage the tool through the ONE-KEY app.

Like other M18 FUEL solutions, the M18 FUEL ProPEX Expander features Milwaukee’s POWERSTATE Brushless Motor, allowing the tool to quickly create connections yet run cool. The new expander achieves 20% more power and 2X more recharges than a standard lithium-ion battery when paired with the REDLITHIUM XC5.0 Extended Capacity Battery.

REDLINK PLUS intelligence protects the tool from overload, overheating, and over-discharge while ensuring optimized performance of the tool.

Milwaukee is committed to improving productivity by providing performance-driven and trade-focused solutions so users can perform an entire day’s work on one battery system. The M18 FUEL 2″ ProPEX Expander is fully compatible with the entire M18 line, now offering more than 200 power tool solutions.
