The Fastener Training Institute (FTI) has announced its next Fastener Training Week training class is scheduled for August 16 to 20 in Chicago. This advanced technical training program is offered in partnership with the Industrial Fasteners Institute (IFI) and is ideal for fastener distributors, manufacturers, and end users.
Fastener Training Week is also hosted by the Mid-West Fastener Association, offering four intensive days of education and plant tours as part of the acclaimed FTI Certified Fastener Specialist (CFS) advanced technical training program.
After completing this industry training in a small group environment and passing a final exam, participants are eligible for the CFS designation.
Fastener Training Week covers timely topics such as manufacturing processes, consensus standards, and quality control, which are taught by leading industry experts. The August program will include teachings by Salim Brahimi, IFI Director of Engineering Technology, Laurence Claus, NNi Training and Consulting, and John Medcalf, Peak Innovations Engineering.
Participants will also tour manufacturing, secondary processes, and testing facilities.
The advanced technical program is a fit for professionals active in fastener sales, purchasing, manufacturing, or quality assurance. Registration includes three full days and two half days of training, educational materials, continental breakfast and lunch, transportation for plant tours, certification of completion, and eligibility for the CFS designation.
Early bird pricing is available until July 19. Plus, a $500 discount is available for Pac-West, NFDA, IFI, MWFA, NCFA, and SFA members. Grants to attend the training are being offered by the Industrial Fasteners Institute.
Additional Fastener Training Week programs will take place in Los Angeles November 29 to December 3.
