BlackHawk Industrial, a distributor of metalworking and other mission-critical industrial products, continues to expand with the recent acquisition of Alro Industrial Supply. With headquarters in Jackson, Michigan, Alro also has locations in Grand Rapids, MI and Clearwater, Florida.
Alro Industrial Supply was a subsidiary of Alro Steel Corporation, a respected metals and plastics distributor based in Jackson, MI, since 1948.
The Alro Industrial Supply operation is an exceptional fit for BlackHawk, expanding its footprint and increasing proximity to customers with a common product offering and strong focus on technical service. This transaction is another example of the company’s aggressive plan to expand into new product categories, geographical markets, and industry segments.
In October 2023, BlackHawk announced the integration of Big Red Fasteners into its fastener portfolio, significantly bolstering the company’s fastener division. In April 2023, BlackHawk announced the acquisition of Stock’d Supply, a supplier of fasteners, technical threads, and other industrial products.
