APPLIED Adhesives acquires L&D Adhesives

By Michelle Froese | February 18, 2022

Founded in 1971, APPLIED Adhesives is a value-added distributor of hot-melt, water-based, and reactive adhesives, as well as dispensing equipment. The acquisition of L&D will further expand its offerings and capabilities.

APPLIED Adhesives, a custom adhesive solutions provider in North America, announced that it has completed the acquisition of L&D Adhesives, a regional supplier of adhesive and sealant solutions located in Comstock Park, MI.

L&D is an authorized distributor for more than 30 brands of adhesive manufacturers across the country, including for multi-national conglomerates such as 3M. This acquisition strengthens APPLIED’s commitment to providing advanced products, technical expertise, and excellent service to its customers.

“L&D has built an impressive, customer-focused business and we are very pleased that they chose to join forces with Applied,” said John Feriancek, president and CEO of Applied Adhesives. “L&D shares our philosophy of providing exceptional service, exceptional value, and superior adhesive solutions designed specifically for each customer partner.”

Both companies share a commitment to its customers, ensuring a detailed understanding of their manufacturing and production processes. This enables customized adhesive solutions that properly meet each customer’s specific needs.

“We are proud of the business we have built and the value we have delivered to our customers for the past 49 years. And we pride ourselves in establishing the best working relationships with customers to aid in their adhesive needs,” said Robert Joslin, president of L&D Adhesives. “We now entrust this commitment to APPLIED. We are excited to join the APPLIED family and offer even more adhesive solutions while continuing to build strong relationships with new and existing customers.”

L&D Adhesives is APPLIED Adhesives’ first acquisition in 2022.
