Kestokol D 320 HF was specifically developed for use with high-frequency presses and to provide shorter pressing times.
Kiilto has developed a new D3 PVAc adhesive that enables woodworking customers to jump to the next level in production efficiency. It also replaces commonly used urea-formaldehyde products without compromising performance.
The new product, Kestokol D 320 HF, was developed for use with high-frequency presses and allows shorter pressing times than previously possible — with throughput times as short as 20-40 s in glulam board production.
One of the issues with previous fast PVAc products has been the short open time, which fails to allow smooth production. With this new development, that’s no longer the case. Kestokol D 320 HF offers a long open time. The thermal or heat resistance is important for end-use performance. The new product also delivers and has a clear edge over previous generations.
Formaldehyde emissions have been a concern due to tightening regulations. With Kestokol D 320 HF, which offers a low value of <20 ppm in the ISO 15373 test, it’s now possible to replacement more commonly used urea-formaldehyde products without compromising performance.
Furthermore, Kiilto is currently developing efficient and low formaldehyde solutions for other woodworking sectors, such as the window and door industry.
