Women of the Fastener Industry (WIFI), which provides opportunities for women at all levels of experience in the fastener industry to connect, network, and learn, is accepting applications for two of its scholarships.
1. The Joanne Sherman E-Learning Scholarship, which honors the memory of Joanne Goodman Sherman, co-owner of Industrial Rivet and Fastener. The awarded scholarship fully covers course fees for WIFI members requesting financial assistance to complete an online course through THORS eLearning Solutions — the Online Training Specifically for Manufacturing and the Fastener Industry. THORS will provide courses specifically designed to industry needs.
2. The Ann Bisgyer Wolz Scholarship, which honors the memory of Ann Bisgyer Wolz, co-publisher of the Fastener Industry News. The awarded scholarship provides WIFI members requesting financial assistance to attend the Fastener Training Institute (FTI), a non-profit organization dedicated to high-quality fastener training. Class fees will be covered for the Certified Fastener Specialist course, or any other class of equal or lesser value.
WIFI scholarships provide funds for members to attend industry related seminars, workshops, and conventions. Learn more about these opportunities here.
