GERMANTOWN, WI — WAGO Corporation recently subjected the 773 Series WALL-NUTS™ PUSH WIRE® connectors to demanding shock and vibration sequence testing. The testing, which adhered to IEC standards, verified WALL-NUTS™ contact continuity (no current interruptions during testing) and housing integrity (no physical damage) under extreme conditions.
In-house testing confirmed WALL-NUTS'™ suitability to a broad range of splicing applications such as HVAC and transportation installations including wiring systems for rail car applications, truck body/trailer applications and other enclosed vehicle wiring systems.
IEC and Germanischer Lloyd testing procedures and guides that were followed including:
–Vibration strain “Random vibration” (IEC 61373:1999)
–Vibration 5 Hz—150 Hz, 4 g (GL VI – Part 7, Chapter 2, GL 2003)
–Shock test “Environmental testing – Single Shock” 50 g, 11 ms (IEC 60068-2-27:2008) and
–Vibration 5 Hz—2000 Hz, 5 g (IEC 60068-2-6:2007).
