Verify the Degree of Cure

By Design World Staff | April 6, 2011

The Loctite® AssureCure™ System lets you quantitatively and cost effectively assess the degree of cure of light-cure adhesives.  A simple in-line process, it includes new adhesive technology, fiber optic light sources, a light detector unit, and software that tie into your PC or PLC. The system will confirm cure inline on 100% of production in just 20 ms per part and eliminates costly off-line destructive or analytical testing and associated scrap. The data show exceptional correlation to traditional off-line methods of confirming degree of cure, such as physical destructive testing and FTIR analysis.
