United Performance Metals (UPM), a specialty metal provider, recently purchased a precision rerolling mill, with supporting processing equipment in Portland, Connecticut. The acquisition includes a Sendzimir cold-reversing mill, strip-cleaning line, bright annealing furnace, and slitting line.
“UPM is excited to build on our extensive capacity to process high-performance metals with the opening of our new, precision thin-gauge facility in Connecticut,” said Peter Neuberge, president and CEO of United Performance Metals. “This new capability is well aligned with our long term strategy of adding value to the metal we sell and the customers we serve.”
UPM, an O’Neal Industries affiliate company, is a quality metal provider, serving customers in several of industries including aerospace, defense, space, fastener, medical, power-generation, and others.
UPM offers a broad spectrum of high-performance metals and alloys, FIRSTCUT+ Processing Services, quality approvals, and custom supply-chain solutions.
“The addition of a precision rerolling mill provides UPM the opportunity to offer custom engineered product solutions and tighter tolerances for our customers. It’s a terrific complement to our many value-added services,” added Curt Gillingham, Director of Sales.
Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, UPM maintains 10 service centers worldwide.
