Tanner selected as master distributor for Parker Lock-Out maximum security screw

By Michelle Froese | February 22, 2021

Lock-Out security screws are manufactured under ISO compliance and feature a patented, licensed system that prevents unauthorized access to bolted or screwed compartments using custom drive configurations.

Tanner Bolt & Nut Inc., a distributor of package and bulk fasteners in Brooklyn, NY, has reached an agreement with Parker Fasteners to become the exclusive master distributor in the U.S. for its Lock-Out maximum security screw.

Parker is an ISO & AS9100 Rev D registered, cold-heading parts manufacturer in Buckeye, Arizona sources all raw materials from American sources, including DFARS compliance. Its Lock-Out is an innovative security fastener, featuring a patented drive that’s engineered to perform in high-torque applications. The distinctive oval center pin and multiple drive/key combinations gives customers the option to select higher levels of security in a tamper-proof fastener.

Lock-Out is available in a multitude of head styles, threads, diameters, lengths, materials, and finishes. Diameters range from 1/4-5/8″, M1.4-M16, and #0-10, with lengths up to 12″ for certain diameters. Materials available include carbon steel, stainless steel 302HQ, 304, 316, as well as A286 and brass alloy steel 4037, 8740.

For absolute maximum protection of your property or product, the Lock-Out can be manufactured with a one-of-a-kind, drive pattern that’s exclusive to the customer. The installation bits are not sold commercially, however, and will only be sold through Tanner. Tanner will receive its initial stock order in early March 2021 and will continue to bolster its inventory throughout the year. Made-to-order product typically will ship in 8 to 10 weeks.

The Lock-Out maximum security screw features include:

  • High torque: Tests prove that Parker’s unique Lock-Out elliptical design disseminates torque across the entire face of the drive at many different impact angles allowing greater torque.
  • Oval center pin: Inability to drill an oval hole thwarts theft.
  • Exclusive custom drives:  Available for absolute maximum protection of your property or product — the Lock-Out fasteners can be manufactured with a one-of-a-kind, drive pattern that is exclusive to your company.

Tanner partners with more than 50 well-known quality brands that provide our customers with industry leading experience, innovation, and quality control.
