Southco, Inc., a global provider in engineered access hardware solutions, is now a licensed Microban partner. This means Southco will integrate the Microban antimicrobial additive into many of its most popular access hardware products.
Microban antimicrobial technologies are effective against bacteria by up to 99% and are built in to products at the point of manufacture to inhibit the growth of microbes that are present in many environments. These technologies become part of the molecular structure of the treated articles and will not wash off or wear away.
With Microban-protected access hardware solutions, products will remain cleaner between cleanings and reduce bacteria on high-touch applications – even after repeated contamination.
Southco will now integrate antimicrobial technologies into many of its most popular products to help customers:
- Reduce bacteria count
- Keep high touch surfaces clean
- Gain a distinctive competitive advantage
“Southco’s partnership with Microban allows us to provide greater value to our customers, by helping them to reduce bacteria growth on their application touch points,” explained Jim Ford, director, Global Product Management, Southco, Inc. “Like Southco products, Microban® antimicrobial technologies are designed to last the lifetime of the application, matching our commitment to providing premium quality solutions to the markets we serve.”
Southco’s Microban solutions can help protect high-touch access points used in a variety of environments and equipment applications in industries including health care, self-service and point-of-sale, enclosures, industrial machinery, automotive, mass transit, HVAC, and aerospace.
