Scott Bader Mocksville will be built with modern design principles and operate to GMP conditions, manufacturing a range of the company’s products.
The investment sees the acquisition of a 110,000-square-foot industrial unit on a 15-acre site in Mocksville — which, with further investment, will be developed into a state-of-the-art gelcoat and structural adhesives manufacturing facility.
The plant aims to be fully operational in 2023. This will be the company’s second North American manufacturing site.
The Scott Bader Mocksville team, including group CEO Dr Kevin Matthews, hosted the groundbreaking ceremony. It marked a historic moment in Scott Bader’s illustrious history and the start of construction to develop its site into a state-of-the-art gelcoat and structural adhesive manufacturing facility.
The new development is expected to create 27 new jobs locally, with 21 in manufacturing and the other roles shared across HR, R&D, commercial support and applications.
