Quartz Filled Two Component Epoxy Features High Temperature and Chemical Resistance

By Stacy Combest | August 20, 2013

Supreme 45HTQMaster Bond Supreme 45HTQ is a thermally stable, two component quartz filled epoxy system. It features exceptional abrasion and chemical resistant properties. It will withstand exposure to petrochemicals, acids, bases and solvents. It retains its performance profile at elevated temperatures up to +450°F.

Supreme 45HTQ has a 100 to 30 mix ratio by weight and offers a working life exceeding 12 hours at room temperature. It has good flow properties and is easy to apply for bonding and sealing applications. This electrically insulative epoxy can also be cast in sections many inches in depth.

This high strength system bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, composites, ceramics and many rubbers and plastics. It has a tensile strength over 10,000 psi and a compressive strength greater than 20,000 psi at room temperature. Dimensionally stable, it requires oven curing at 250-350°F and offers low shrinkage upon curing. As a toughened compound, Supreme 45HTQ resists rigorous thermal cycling.

Supreme 45HTQ is widely used in downhole oil drilling applications. It is also frequently employed by the aerospace, chemical processing, pump, mining, power and other industries. It is available in a variety of standard packaging options including ½ pint, pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon container kits. It has a 6 month shelf life at room temperature when stored in original, unopened containers.
