PEM‚® Type PF50/60‚â„¢ self-clinching access hardware incorporates a captive screw in a spring-loaded assembly to reduce parts count and prevent screws from falling out and damaging internal components.
These panel fastener assemblies additionally allow for quick and easy access to components whenever necessary. The hardware meets UL 508 ‚“operator access area‚†requirements (Type PF50) and UL 1950 ‚“service access area‚†requirements (Type PF60).
Their low-profile design minimizes protrusion on front panels and contributes to enhanced front-panel appearance. When tightened, the fastener (depending on size) will protrude only .340‚â€/8.64mm from the top of the sheet.
PEM PF50/60 steel panel fastener assemblies incorporate a Phillips recess to enable their captive screws to be tightened or loosened simply using a Phillips screwdriver. Their large heads (knurled or smooth knobs, depending on type) further provide for operation by hand without tools.
PEM Type PF50/60 self-clinching access hardware installs permanently in aluminum or steel panels as thin as .030‚â€/0.8mm. The assemblies are offered in multiple screw lengths with thread sizes ranging from #4-40 through ‚¼-20 and M3 through M6. Customization options include a six-lobe recess and scratch-proof DuraBlack‚â„¢ finish.
