Dymax’s 2000-MW series is the first dedicated, light-curable adhesives product line designed for the assembly of wearable medical devices where materials of concern and proximity to skin matter.
Developed without isobornyl acrylate (IBOA), a common skin irritant, and other materials of concern, these adhesives pass ISO 10993-10 for sensitization and irritation, as well as ISO 10993-5 for cytotoxicity.
They’re ideal for use in several devices including hearing aids, vital sign monitoring devices, continuous glucose monitors, and other diabetes care devices.
This range of adhesives passed ISO 10993-10 for sensitization and irritation, as well as ISO 10993-5 for cytotoxicity.
This new portfolio of products is used for structural bonding applications, encapsulation, or coating medical wearable electronic components. Although Dymax medical adhesives are not intended to be in direct contact with the skin, the 2000-MW series is intentionally designed to address concerns around skin sensitivity in the event of indirect or prolonged device contact.
