New INSIDER Extended Reach Box Ratchet ideal for automotive industry

By Michelle Froese | August 14, 2023

Delivering a new game-changing solution for the automotive industry, Milwaukee Tool is introducing a new M12 FUEL INSIDER Extended Reach Box Ratchet (and accessories). The INSIDER box ratchet is designed for automotive and equipment mechanics and delivers users the lowest profile and most versatile solution with up to 60ft-lbs of max torque — ultimately, improving productivity in the shop.

The new M12 FUEL INSIDER Extended Reach Box Ratchet offers a low-profile head design, allowing the sockets and adapters to insert directly into the tool — and providing easy access into extremely tight spaces. Learn more in this video.

“Manual ratchets and wrenches are utilized daily by the mechanic in tight spaces that are difficult to reach,” explained Eric Rusch, director of product marketing for Milwaukee Tool. “While researching with users in the field, we noticed there were applications that pneumatic and cordless ratchets couldn’t reach due to space constraints, forcing users to reach for hand tools to complete the application and killing their productivity.”

Optimized for users working in tight spaces, this box end ratchet measures over 3/4 inches shorter with INSIDER sockets and delivers a 35% more compact head size when compared to other leading ratchets, optimizing access in applications.

With the tool’s extended reach, users are protected from knuckle-busting in hard-to-reach locations, improving access and safety on the job. Additionally, what’s unique is the INSIDER sockets are inserted directly into the head of the tool, providing a low profile and giving professionals unrivaled access on the job.

“With the innovation of the INSIDER Box Ratchet, this solution delivers the smallest head profile in the industry, significantly reducing the need to reach for your hand tool,” added Rusch. “Paired with the power and speed introduced by this solution, Milwaukee is eliminating those compromises.”

The INSIDER is a versatile ratcheting solution, improving productivity and efficiency to complete more jobs. With its compact profile, the ratchet eliminates the need for multiple solutions when working in tight spaces that have been typically only accessible by hand tools, providing users with multiple capabilities in one ratchet.

For additional versatility on the job and in the shop, the INSIDER box ratchet sockets also offer users the most drive sizes in one solution. Backed by a lifetime guarantee and available in metric and SAE, the sockets range from 8 to 19mm, 21mm, and 5/16 to 3/4 inches, with a metric rail paired with every tool.

With a pass-through capable up to 15mm or 9/16 inches SAE, professionals are provided with a full range of solutions that drive maximum productivity and efficiency. Also, interchangeable anvil adapters provide compatibility with 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2-inch drive sockets, plus 1/4-inch hex bits, allowing the INSIDER to account for different drive sizes and protect user investments.

Providing up to 60 ft-lbs max torque and driving up to 350 RPM of no-load speed, this ratchet delivers users power and speed without the hassle of hoses, cords, or routine tool maintenance. As many cordless ratchets on the market still struggle to remove stubborn fasteners, professionals face frustrating tradeoffs between the solutions available in the shop, impacting productivity and efficiency.

By eliminating the common compromises needed to complete the job, the INSIDER provides professionals with an ideal combination of speed and torque for ultimate performance in application.

The new M12 FUEL INSIDER Extended Reach Box Ratchet joins the M12 Cordless System, the largest sub-compact system on the market, focused on delivering industry-leading durability and the power to complete applications in the tightest spaces. Currently, Milwaukee’s the M12 System is made up of more than 150 solutions.
