Excelitas Technologies, an industrial technology manufacturer focused on delivering innovative, market-driven photonic solutions, announced the launch of its next-generation OmniCure S1500 Pro UV Spot Curing System for adhesives.
The S1500 Pro UV Spot Curing System offers control, reliability, and high-intensity irradiance with a versatile range of features tailored for automated manufacturing processes, such as high-throughput UV adhesive curing and automated bonding involved in micro-electronic and opto-electronic manufacturing applications.
The system’s reliable, high-output, lamp-based light source leverages proprietary Intelli-Lamp 2.0 technology to deliver optimized lamp life (2,000 hours guaranteed) while maintaining optimum performance. It’s also equipped with StepCure 2.0 to enable precise programming of multi-phase curing profiles directly from the system with a simple user-friendly interface.
The wide selection of user-interchangeable optical filter and lamp types provides additional flexibility for a diverse range of application needs. USB Type B and SD card compatibility also allow seamless connectivity and data storage, while the intuitive 4.3″ high-resolution LCD touch screen display interface simplifies operation.
Additional features include:
- Identical optical output power and spectrum to previous generation OmniCure S1500 supports seamless transition to the S1500 Pro along with full backward compatibility of existing light guides and radiometers.
- PLC control with 1 programmable PLC output channel that is configurable using the intuitive StepCure 2.0 user interface to simplify more advanced workflows.
- NFC (Near Field Communication) for advanced process control with NFC-enabled keycards (Admin, Supervisor).
- Cleanroom-ready with dedicated duct attachment area that simplifies connections for cleanroom use.
“Excelitas is committed to continually innovating our OmniCure UV curing brand, so we are excited to build upon the established legacy of our S Series of Lamp Curing Systems with the launch of the S1500 Pro,” said Mike Kay, director of Product Management at Excelitas. “Not only does the S1500 Pro offer the same reliability S1500 customers are already familiar with, but it includes new features to enhance interfacing and control. This provides industrial curing customers with efficient, controlled, and repeatable UV spot curing that keeps pace with the changing industry landscape, meeting the demands of a range of manufacturing applications.”
