NBK has released a set of sockets that can remove hex-head bolts and hex nuts with damaged corners and that cannot be removed by conventional tools.
The SKEK-SET — Stripped Hex-head Screws/Bolts Removal Socket Sets are easy-to-use and ROHS2-compliant.
The spiral edges inside the socket firmly bite into, ensuring quick and simple removal of hex-head bolts and nuts with damaged corners. The sockets can also be used for screws with round heads so long as the edge fits and properly bites into it.
The sets are ideal in cases where the fastener’s corners have been:
- Damaged due to attempts to forcibly remove tightly stuck screws
- Broken by turning tools with a shallow contact or the use of an incorrect tool size
- Crushed due to rust or corrosion from long-term exposure to harsh or outdoor environments
There is a set of sockets for each insertion angle: Insertion angle 6.35-4SET and Insertion angle 9.5-8SET. The socket is stored in a holder for compact portability and will no fall out even if turned upside down or shaken. Also, by using the holes in the socket holder rail, it can be mounted on a wall or in a toolbox.
The sockets should not be used for left threads, with power tools (such as impact wrenches), or for applications other than for removing screws.
