Michael Mantis was recently named CEO of Fasteners Inc./Southwestern Supply, following the passing of his father — the company’s founder and owner, Keith Mantis.
Fasteners Inc. has an expansive warehouse in Las Vegas, NV, with a large selection of power tools, hardware and other construction equipment. The company was originally established in 1987 in San Diego, and has other California locations in Hayward and San Francisco.
Fasteners Inc. said the succession plan for Michael Mantis’ had been planned for many years under his father, Keith’s guidance. Sadly, Keith passed away unexpectedly on April 19.
Michael has worked in all areas of the company before, including roles as janitor, stocker/order puller, shipping and receiving, inside sales, purchasing, accounts receivable and accounts payable and general accounting. He is also responsible for the Internet retailer ToolUp.com and Professional Contractors Supply.
Michael was named executive VP in 2006 and promoted to president and COO in 2018. He was responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the company, web development, financial planning, vendor relationships and marketing strategy.
