Lohmann has developed a bio-based, solvent-free tape portfolio with recyclable liners — all made in a facility powered by renewable energy.
As part of its own sustainability strategy, Lohmann is committed to driving sustainable adhesive technologies forward. The company’s latest developments — the DuploCOLL ECO adhesive tape portfolio — offer bio-based, solvent-free adhesives with recyclable liner systems that can be returned to the regular circular economy.
The new product line is manufactured using Lohmann’s 100% solvent-free TwinMelt technology, a coating process that enables adhesive tape production with low energy consumption and reduced CO² emissions. This means the energy required within the manufacturing process at Lohmann’s main production site is covered by renewable energy.
“With the ECO portfolio, we support our customers in making their individual production process even more sustainable,” said Sascha Rakhsh Bahar, head of Sales Projects at Lohmann.
Bahar added to expect sustainability with the typical reliable performance Lohmann products deliver, including excellent initial adhesion, cold-bonding properties, and adhesive strength whether on high and low-energy surfaces.
“The tapes have high aging resistance and can be used on recycled substrates such as cardboard or corn starch-based materials,” Bahar said.
The ECO range is available as transfer tapes, double-sided scrim tapes, or with special paper carriers on jumbo or log rolls to suit various applications and industries.
