The LIGNOLOC nail tip design, combined with the heat generated by friction when the nail is driven in, means the lignin from the nail welds to the surrounding wood to form a strong, substance-to-substance joint.
BECK Fastener Group, an innovator in fastening technology, has launched LIGNOLOC — the first collated nail system made of renewable raw material beech wood. Derived from sustainable FSC forestry, LIGNLOC fasteners combine performance and sustainability.
These nails are ideal for all timber construction companies looking for metal-free components that are also highly efficient and sustainable.
Thanks to their mechanical properties, these nails can be shot into wood and wood-based materials without pre-drilling by using the specially developed FASCO pneumatic nailer in the LIGNOLOC EDITION, bonding them permanently.
LIGNOLOC is currently the most sustainable professional fastening system on the market with more than 70% lower CO₂ emissions than conventional systems. It received the general building authority approval for “load-bearing wooden connections using LIGNOLOC wooden nails.” This approval enables the planning, design and execution of load-bearing connections in timber frame construction.
Together, with BECK’s SCRAIL nail screw fasteners, it is also the only fastening system that fully supports the requirements of the circular economy in terms of recyclability.
