Koike offers range of ferrous cutting machines

By Michelle Froese | May 7, 2020

Koike Aronson Ransome, a global provider of cutting, welding, and positioning equipment, offers a full suite of cutting machines for a wide variety of industries. The ShopPro, ShopProXHD, and PlateProXHD are specifically engineered for ferrous cutting applications.

The ShopProXHD CNC plasma-cutting machine is Koike’s newest addition to their ferrous cutting equipment.

“When you are in the market for a cutting machine, you need a reliable piece of equipment that gets the job done and delivers long-lasting performance,” said Tim Joslin, Koike cutting product manager. “At Koike, we work collaboratively with our customers to find the right solution for their cutting needs.”

He added: “We control every aspect of the manufacturing process, ensuring our machines are made of only the highest quality materials and deliver long-lasting performance. We have a solution for every shop size and every price point.”

The ShopPro
The ShopPro is a high-performing Computer Numerical Control (CNC) plasma-cutting machine available in three sizes that range from 4×4 feet to 5×10 feet. Built to last with a rugged steel construction, this machine delivers premium performance features with a small enough footprint to fit into tight spaces, making it ideal for use in small fabrication shops.

The ShopPro comes equipped with helical rack and pinion on both axes, ensuring consistent and precise cuts. With a 1,000 inches per minute traverse speed and a maximum power source of 125 amps, this compact machine is powerful. The ShopPro comes with intuitive CAD/CAM/CUT software that is very user friendly. The ShopPro is ideal for hobbyists, small to mid-size fabricators, educational facilities and new start-up companies.

The ShopProXHD
The ShopProXHD CNC plasma-cutting machine is Koike’s newest addition to their ferrous cutting lineup. This machine comes in three table sizes ranging from 4×8 feet to 6×12 feet. It’s also equipped with helical rack and pinion on both axes. Couple that with dual-side drive servo motors and precision linear bearings, and the result is a smooth and accurate motion to produce consistent cuts.

This machine features curved table slats, providing fabricators with a stable cutting surface and reducing dross on parts. Other features include a laser pointer and all-in-one motion controller with a 21-inch touch screen. The ShopProXHD is ideal for use in mid-size general fabrication shops and educational settings such as vocational schools and colleges.

The PlateProXHD
The largest of the three machines, the PlateProXHD is a rigid rail, rapid traverse and multi-tool station cutting system. Available in 5, 6, and 8 feet cutting widths and up to 100 feet in cutting length, the size of this machine is customized to specific needs. It’s imple to operate using plasma and oxy-fuel technology and offering user-friendly Hypertherm Edge Connect, CNC, and Pronest software.

The PlateProXHD is outfitted with helical rack and pinion x-axis and 1.5-kilowatt servo motors and drives y-axis. With a full contour plasma bevel used for welding prep, the PlateProXHD eliminates the need for secondary operations. This machine is ideal for a variety of industries including general fabrication, heavy equipment, tank construction, and steel service.

All Koike machines are manufactured in the U.S., allowing for accessible service, parts and support. Each machine comes with a two-year warranty and free phone support for life. Koike works collaboratively with their customers to find the right solution with customized machines and services. They offer a distinct advantage with in-house maintenance training at their headquarters in Arcade, NY.
