There’s a new tool to tackle challenging metal drilling jobs: DEWALT‘s 20V MAX* Brushless Cordless 2″ Magnetic Drill Press, featuring FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE technology (DCD1623). The drill is up to 32% more powerful with cutting speeds up to 50% faster compared to the competition.
Built to help prevent tool failure due to lost power, it securely attaches to 1/4″ and thicker metal by using a permanent magnet base that requires no electrical charge.
Delivering 40 holes per charge, the cordless drill has a capacity of up to two-inch holes through two inches of structural steel. The drill also features the DEWALT E-Clutch System, which detects the motion of the tool and shuts it down in a bind-up situation. The E-Clutch is designed to turn off when it detects rotation, part of the PERFORM & PROTECT family.
The Quick-Change Chuck system allows for a tool-free change between the 3/4″ Weldon Shank and 1/2″ keyed chuck (Included). The drill has five variable speeds for each of the two mechanical gears for a total of 10-speed settings to allow for a wide RPM range for a variety of applications.
The DEWALT 20V MAX* Brushless Cordless 2″ Magnetic Drill Press with FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE is available now as a bare unit (tool only) or kitted where DEWALT products are sold.
