DEWALT, a Stanley Black & Decker brand, has launched the ATOMIC 20V MAX* Brushless Cordless 1/2″ Drill/Driver (DCD794) and ATOMIC 20V MAX* Brushless Cordless 1/2″ Hammer Drill (DCD799) — its shortest 20V MAX* drill/driver and hammer drill in DEWALT’s portfolio (tool head length only).
At only 5.88″, the drill/driver provides users with up to 16% more power, while the hammer drill, at just 6.49″, delivers up to 14% more power for optimal productivity in confined workspaces.
The ATOMIC 20V MAX* 1/2″ Drill/Driver offers 404 UWO (based on using the DCB203 battery) and up to 1,650 RPM (no-load). The ATOMIC 20V MAX* Brushless Cordless 1/2″ Hammer Drill produces 552 UWO (based on using the DCB230 battery), with up to 28,050 BPMs and 1,650 RPM (no-load).
This makes each tool ideal for tackling tough jobs in tight spaces.
The drill/driver and hammer drill are equipped with an on-tool LED work light to help illuminate dark areas. Both tools deliver high bit retention with a 1/2 in. ratcheting chuck and allow for user control with a variable speed trigger and 15 clutch settings.
The ATOMIC 20V MAX* 1/2″ Drill/Driver and Hammer Drill will be available this February as bare units (DCD794B and DCD799B, tool only) or kits (DCD794D1, DCD799L1).
*Maximum initial battery voltage (measured without a workload) is 20 volts. Nominal voltage is 18.
