DEWALT adds first-ever cordless ratchets to its portfolio

By Michelle Froese | April 29, 2022

DEWALT, a Stanley Black & Decker brand and trade solutions provider, has introduced its first-ever cordless ratchets as part of its DEWALT XTREME 12V MAX* and ATOMIC COMPACT SERIES 20V MAX* lineups.

Ratchets are the latest addition to the XTREME portfolio, which now includes 15 tools.

The compact brushless ratchets allow users to fasten and remove nuts, bolts, and more in hard-to-reach work areas. The DEWALT rachets are each designed with a glass-filled nylon tool housing, which provides resistance to automotive fluids and solvents for use in automotive and other demanding applications.

With the introduction of ratchets, users can expand into a new product category amongst DEWALT tools, across the DEWALT XTREME 12V MAX* and ATOMIC COMPACT SERIES 20V MAX* lines.

The new XTREME 12V MAX* ratchets are available with 1/4″ (DCF504), 3/8″ (DCF503), and 3/8″ Extended Reach (DCF503E) square drive configurations, with the 3/8″ Extended Reach model delivering 3.9″ greater neck reach versus the DCF503. Compact and performance packed, the 1/4-In 12V MAX* XTREME Ratchet features a powerful 40 ft-lb. max torque brushless motor. The 3/8″ Extended Reach rachets boast a 60 ft-lb. max torque brushless motor.

Engineered for performance and durability, the new ATOMIC COMPACT SERIES 20V MAX* ratchets with 1/2″ (DCF512) and 3/8-In (DCF513) square drive configurations each provide 70 ft-lbs. of max torque. Size meets power through the compact design that helps reach fasteners in tight spaces and areas with minimal access. Ratchets are the newest tools to join the growing line of ATOMIC COMPACT SERIES products, which now includes 16 tools.

All models are equipped with an LED light to help provide illumination in dark spaces, a variable speed trigger for user control, as well as a trigger lock to help prevent unintended activation when the tool is not in use. The forward/reverse switch allows users to quickly change direction of application, and each rachet can be used manually in both directions.
