Pivot Point, a manufacturer of non-threaded fastening solutions, presents its Detent Clevis Pins. These quick-release fastener consist of a cotterless clevis pin that features a ball detent, which depresses and springs up to hold the pin in place.
Made to order, these pins are based on standard clevis pin head and shank dimensions. The ends are chamfered for easy insertion.

- Conventional cotter pins are too difficult to use

Additionally, Pivot Point’s Detent Clevis Pins allow for easy quick-release fastening for flush-mount applications.
Detent Clevis Pins are typically zinc-plated carbon steel. The ball detent is 300 series stainless steel. The ball compression force can be adjusted to meet the force required to insert and remove. Fully stainless steel clevis pins are also available, as are other materials and finishes per customer specification.
