Learn more about Dymax HLC adhesive technology in this video.
Do you need a material that cures in light and darkness? Dymax HLC (Hybrid Light-Curable) technology is a new patent-pending adhesive platform that combines the top qualities of anionic and free-radical adhesive chemistries.
HLC materials exhibit the exceptional physical and performance properties of Dymax standard light-curable materials and the rapid on-contact cure of anionics. The incorporation of contact curing allows these adhesives to be used with a larger range of substrates and provides curing in dark areas not reachable by light.
Dymax HLC adhesives feature on-contact cure capability for dark areas not reachable by light and can bond to a wide range of substrates.
Additional features include:
- Cure with UV/Visible light or UV/Visible light and contact/moisture
- Bond opaque substrates and cure in dark areas
- Low-to-no blooming and better aesthetics
- Light cure increases bond integrity
- Heat and humidity resistance
- Very low intensity (20 mW) required to cure
- Eco-friendly, RoHS compliant, no solvents added
HLC-M-1000 is the first product in this new adhesive series designed for catheter, diagnostic, therapeutic, and general medical device assembly. This wicking-grade adhesive for tight-fitting gaps forms excellent bonds to ABS, PC, PMMA, and PEBA and is low blooming with light cure.
